の様に店舗理念を掲げ「寂び」の美意識文化をコンセプトに今の日本らしさを表現します。
日本は外国からの多様な文化が入り、混ざり合い独特な美しい文化と感じています。
その事から「寂び」を解体、再構築し、vicica の店名に組み込んでいます。
「寂び=然び」 と言う説もあり
内から出てくる現象から然となります。
その事から当店では「然」を採用して
コンセプトに組み込んでいます。

VICICA focuses on “sabi”, one half of Japan’s traditional aesthetic culture, wabi-sabi.

Originally, wabi and sabi were two separate words.
Sabi refers to the appearance of things as they age and deteriorate over time, and the diverse, distinctive beauty created by those changes.
Wabi is the positive mindset that accepts and even enjoys that deterioration.

With guiding ideas such as
“/ enjoying deterioration as character /”
“/ harmony in imperfection /”
we frame our store philosophy around the aesthetics of sabi and try to express what feels like “contemporary Japan”.

Japan, as we see it, is a place where many different cultures from abroad have flowed in, mixed together, and grown into a uniquely beautiful culture.
From this perspective, we deconstruct and reconstruct the idea of sabi and weave it into the store name “VICICA”.

There is also a theory that sabi was originally written as 然び, describing a state that arises naturally from within and simply “becomes as it is”.
Based on this, we adopt the character 然 (zen / shika) as part of our concept.

By breaking it down into 「然 = shika」 (“as it is, in that way”) and 「美 = bi」 (“beauty”), and then reconfiguring it, we arrive at the name: VICICA.
