METHO初の提案となるベーシックシャツ

少しゆとりのあるシンプルで美しいシルエットが特徴のシャツ。クラシックなシャツのスタイルを踏襲しつつ、細部にこだわることで洗練された印象を与えます。

一般的なシャツとは異なり、ヨーク（肩のパーツ）を通常の二枚仕立てではなく一枚仕立てにすることで、すっきりとした印象に。さらに、縫い目をあえて表に出す袋縫い仕様にすることで、陰影が生まれ、さりげない個性を演出しています。

袖口のスリット部分は、ステッチが表から見えない仕様にすることで、よりドレッシーな仕上がりに。カジュアルな着こなしからフォーマルなシーンまで幅広く対応できるデザインです。

生地には、経糸に水色、緯糸にブルーを使用したシャンブレー素材を採用。
見る角度、光の当たり方で藤の様な色に見えます。
超長綿を使用し、ガス焼き加工を施すことで毛羽立ちを抑え、上品でしなやかな風合いを実現しました。肌触りがよく、着るたびに心地よさを感じられる一枚です。

超長綿とは？
このシャツに使用している超長綿は、繊維の長さが一般的な綿よりも長い、高品質な綿のこと。繊維が長いことで、糸を紡ぐ際のつなぎ目が少なくなり、シルクのような滑らかさと美しい光沢が生まれます。また、耐久性にも優れ、洗うほどに柔らかさが増し、肌になじんでいくのが特徴です。さらに、超長綿の持つ高い吸湿性と通気性により、快適な着心地が持続します。

MFETHO Basic Shirt – A Refined First Statement

This is MFETHO’s first take on a basic shirt—an understated yet sophisticated piece defined by its simple, relaxed silhouette. While it follows the timeless structure of a classic shirt, meticulous attention to detail elevates its presence, making it suitable for a wide range of occasions.

Unlike conventional shirts, this design features a single-piece yoke across the shoulders, creating a cleaner, more streamlined look. The seams are finished with a visible fukuro-nui technique, intentionally exposing the stitching to add depth and subtle character through shifting light and shadow.

The slit cuffs are constructed with hidden stitching, lending the shirt a dressier edge while maintaining a casual versatility that moves effortlessly from relaxed settings to more polished environments.

The fabric is a chambray woven with pale blue warp threads and deeper blue weft threads, creating a color that subtly shifts with the light—at times recalling the soft, delicate hue of wisteria. Made from extra-long staple cotton, the fabric undergoes a gassing process to remove fuzz and enhance its smooth, refined texture. The result is a shirt that feels as elegant as it looks, delivering lasting comfort against the skin.

What is Extra-Long Staple Cotton?
This premium cotton features fibers that are significantly longer than those of ordinary cotton. Longer fibers reduce the number of joins in the yarn, resulting in a fabric with a silk-like smoothness and natural sheen. It’s also more durable, softening with each wash and gradually molding to the body over time. Thanks to its exceptional moisture absorption and breathability, garments made from extra-long staple cotton maintain comfort throughout the day.
