itochiは日本のファッションブランドです。

itochiには、お洋服のデザインをそのまま文字で説明するようなコンセプトはありません。
ただ、ものづくりの軸となる、いくつかのルールだけがあります。

：About the Item

コットンのコーデュロイ……ではなく、
ウール93％ × カシミヤ7％という、めずらしい混率で織られたコール天。

ベースになっているのは、尾州で織り上げたウールの生地。
そこに、遠州・静岡の工場で「カッティング」と呼ばれる特殊な加工を施すことで、
コーデュロイならではの畝（うね）と表情を生み出しています。

この生地がつくられた当時、
このカッティング加工をできる工場は、日本でも静岡の1社のみ。
現在でも対応できる工場はごくわずかで、
いまでは“幻のコーデュロイ”と言ってよい、特別なテキスタイルです。

さらに、この生地は「先染め」のウールカシミヤコーデュロイ。
横糸にはやわらかなベージュ、縦糸にはライムの糸を使用し、
織りの段階で色を重ねています。

通常のコーデュロイは、
生地や製品ができあがった後に、一色の釜で一気に「後染め」されることが多く、
生産効率に優れた手法です。

対して、この生地はその真逆ともいえるアプローチ。
先に糸を染め、縦糸と横糸に異なる色を配することで、
角度によってほんのりと色が揺らぎ、
畝の上にライムの色がふわりと浮かび上がるような奥行きが生まれています。

海外で一般的に見られるコーデュロイと比べると、
日本のコーデュロイは工程の多さも特徴です。

生地が織り上がった後に行うもみ洗いや、
余分な毛羽を焼いて整えるガス焼きといった工程を重ねることで、
使い込んだあとの表情や、製品になってからの肌あたりに、
はっきりとした違いが出てきます。

そこに、ウールとカシミヤの混率が加わることで、
やわらかさ・あたたかさ・肌あたりの良さを兼ね備えた、まったく別物のコーデュロイに。

そんな“幻の”ウールカシミヤコーデュロイで仕立てた、

Q. チクチクしませんか？
A. ウールにカシミヤをブレンドした生地で、さらにもみ洗いなどの仕上げ工程を経ているため、
　ウール素材の中でもかなりやわらかな肌あたりです。
　首元に素肌が当たるのが気になる方は、薄手のカットソーやタートルネックをインナーに重ねると、より安心して着用いただけます。

Q. どのくらいの季節まで着られますか？
A. ウールカシミヤの密度があるので、冬の中盤〜終わり頃までしっかり頼れるあたたかさがあります。
　アウターの中に着れば真冬のミドルレイヤーとして、春先はコートを脱いで一枚のプルオーバーとしても活躍します。

itochi is a Japanese fashion brand.

Rather than stating a single, verbal concept that directly explains each design,
itochi works with a set of creative rules:

itochi cherishes that slight vagueness—

：About the Item

This is not a cotton corduroy pullover,
but a rare wool 93% × cashmere 7% corduroy fabric.

The base cloth is a wool fabric woven in Bishu,
then sent to a factory in Enshu, Shizuoka,
where a special “cutting” process is applied to create the distinctive corduroy ridges and texture.

When this fabric was first developed,
there was only one factory in Japan capable of this cutting process.
Even today, only a handful of factories can handle it,
making this corduroy a truly “phantom” textile.

On top of that, it is a yarn-dyed wool-cashmere corduroy.
The weft is dyed in a soft beige, the warp in a lime tone,
so the depth of color is built up from the yarn stage.

In contrast, most conventional corduroy fabrics are piece-dyed after the fabric or garment is completed,
immersed in a single dye bath for higher production efficiency.

Here, the approach is almost the opposite:
different colors are assigned to warp and weft at the weaving stage,
so the surface ridges catch the lime tone,
and the color appears to subtly shift depending on angle and light.

Compared to many overseas corduroys,
Japanese-made corduroy often goes through more finishing steps.

After the fabric is woven, it is subjected to 揉み洗い (softening wash)
and gas singeing to remove excess fuzz and refine the surface.
These additional processes significantly affect how the fabric feels on the skin
and how its expression evolves as you wear it over time.

With the wool-and-cashmere blend on top of that,
the result is a corduroy that feels warm, soft, and uniquely refined—
almost like a different material compared to the usual cotton corduroy.

This “phantom” wool-cashmere corduroy is then tailored
into a slightly sporty half-zip pullover.

Styled with tailored trousers, it reads almost like a luxury knit;
paired with denim or cargo pants, it brings an elevated touch to casual looks.
