: アイテムについて

こちらのジャケットは、デザイナー苅田のルーツでもある岐阜県の伝統あるウール工場とのコラボレーションから生まれました。

岐阜県は、日本有数のウール産地として、古くから高い技術と伝統が息づく地域です。
ここで生産されるウールは、熟練の職人たちによる丁寧な加工と、厳選された原料が特徴で、独自の風合いや温かみを持ち合わせています。
デザイナー苅田がこの地のウール工場とコラボレーションすることで、岐阜県ならではの伝統と現代的な感性が融合した、上質なウール製品が生まれています。

今回、工場にオリジナルウールの制作を依頼。
紫とグレーの糸を交互に織り込むことで、光の当たり方や動きにより、玉虫色のような独特の光沢と、奥行きのある表情が生まれます。

また、ノーカラーデザインに加え、後ろのベンツが深く入ったカッティングは、シンプルながらも洗練されたディテールを実現。
日常に溶け込みつつも、こだわりの質感と動的な輝きを感じさせる一着として、現代の日本人のライフスタイルにマッチするデザインとなっています。

：：About the Item

This jacket was born from a collaboration with a traditional wool factory in Gifu Prefecture—designer Karita’s hometown.

Gifu is renowned as one of Japan’s leading wool-producing regions, where time-honored techniques and exceptional craftsmanship have been passed down through generations. The wool produced here is characterized by the meticulous processing of skilled artisans and the use of carefully selected raw materials, which lend it a unique texture and warmth. Through this collaboration, designer Karita has fused Gifu’s rich heritage with a modern sensibility to create a superior wool product.

For this project, the factory was commissioned to produce an original wool. By interweaving purple and gray threads alternately, the interplay of light and movement gives rise to a distinctive iridescent sheen reminiscent of a jewel beetle, as well as a profound sense of depth.

Additionally, the jacket features a no-collar design combined with a deep back vent cut, achieving a look that is both simple and refined. It is a piece that seamlessly blends into everyday life while exuding a commitment to quality and a dynamic radiance—perfectly matching the lifestyle of modern Japanese individuals.
