一見するとスーツ地のような、端正で静かな佇まい。
しかし袖を通せばすぐにわかる、この布がただの「生地」ではないということ。

itochiが長年信頼を寄せてきた、尾州・葛利毛織による「キッドモヘヤトロピカル」は、Super100sウールとキッドモヘヤを混紡した特別なテキスタイルです。

芯のある張り感と、しなやかな落ち感。
まるで矛盾するはずの要素が、完璧なバランスで共存する生地。
それが、この素材の最大の魅力です。

【Super100s × Kid Mohair──構造が生む、質感の奥行き】

・Super100s Wool
極細（約17.5ミクロン）のウール繊維がもたらす、柔らかく肌に吸い付くようなぬめり。繊細でありながらコシもあり、身体のラインに自然に沿うドレープ性を備えます。

・Kid Mohair
生後1年未満のアンゴラヤギから採れる、非常に希少で上質な繊維。しっかりとしたコシとハリ感を持ちながらも、シルクのような光沢と軽さを内包しています。糸の断面が光を細かく拡散するため、ギラつかず控えめに、深く鈍く、しっとりと光を纏います。

この2種の繊維が交わることで、
・湿気を逃がすドライなタッチ

この生地は、葛利毛織の職人たちが、今なお現役で使うションヘル織機で織り上げられています。
現代の高速織機に比べ、1日に織れる量はごくわずか。しかしその「遅さ」こそが、糸の膨らみや繊維の奥行きを壊さずに織り上げるための、かけがえのない工程。

わずかに空気を含むような、生地表面のふくらみや陰影。

これまでitochiでは、あえてフォーマルなムードから距離を取り、「スーツ地でつくる非スーツ」という構成を通じて、この生地の可能性を拡張してきました。
“相反する要素の混在”こそが創作の源であり、それが美しさを際立たせるという信念があったからです。

しかし今季（25-26AW）は、あえて「素材から第一に想起される形」へ立ち返ります。

ジャケットとパンツ。
シンプルながら、深めのタックや削ぎ落とされたディテールにより、素材が語る余白を最大限に残したデザイン。
裏地には、表地の豊かな風合いに呼応するように、綿素材の肌当たりの良さを採用しています。

At first glance, it may appear to be an ordinary suiting fabric — refined and composed.
But the moment you slip it on, you’ll understand: this is no ordinary textile.

The “Kid Mohair Tropical” woven by Kurabo Woolen Mills in Bishu — a trusted partner of itochi — is a unique fabric made from a blend of Super100s wool and kid mohair.

It is this rare material, with its structured firmness and fluid drape coexisting in harmony, that embodies the signature texture itochi consistently returns to.

【Super100s × Kid Mohair — Structure That Deepens Texture】
• Super100s Wool
Spun from extra-fine wool fibers (~17.5 microns), this material is incredibly soft, with a natural sheen and a moist, almost adhesive-like touch. Though delicate, it retains body and structure, allowing the fabric to drape fluidly and contour organically to the body.
• Kid Mohair
Sourced from Angora goats under one year of age, kid mohair is an extremely rare and luxurious fiber. It combines a crisp resilience and firm hand with the subtle luster and featherlight qualities of silk. Due to the unique cross-section of the fibers, light diffuses softly — never glaring — creating a muted, deep, and gently glistening surface.

Through the blending of these two materials, the fabric offers:

The faint airiness, the soft rise on the fabric’s surface, the subtle shading — all are born from this slow, deliberate process.

In the past, itochi deliberately explored silhouettes far removed from formality, challenging the conventional perception of suiting fabric by designing “non-suits” from suiting cloth.
At the heart of this creative ethos lies a belief: that beauty emerges where opposing elements intersect.

However, for the 25-26 Autumn/Winter collection, we return to the fundamental impression this fabric evokes — garments that naturally come to mind upon touching this material.

A jacket and trousers.
Stripped-down, minimal, and quiet in form — with deep tucks and carefully pared-back details to allow the fabric to breathe and speak.
The lining is chosen to match the tactility of the outer fabric: soft, skin-friendly cotton that deepens the comfort of the wearer.
